I filed my GC on EB2 and current status is :
I140 approved on Sep 2008
I 485 in process - submitted RFE on Sep 10th
Right now i m on H1B. I recently got married and my husband is on H1B he didnt start his GC process yet. At this stage can i add him on my green card. If so pls explain me the process ...

Hi guys, cannot find this topic in previous threads. Appreciate it if someone can advise!
My situation is: I'm still waiting to file for I-485 with approved PERM and I-140. I'll get married right after I submit my I-485 when visa number is available and petition for her I-485. Can my future wife in China take consular processing in US consulate in China while I'm just waiting for approval in US? Normally, does she get it earlier than me since she'd ask for consular processing?

Just wanted to share this information with everyone so people around the same petition date can be hopeful of getting their 140 approved soon.
My I-140 got approved yesterday through NSC. Petition was filed on 4/1/2008. I am in EB-3 category.

I am really confused and I really need information about my situation.
I have graduated from Culinary Institute of America on June 18 and I had an application for OPT for July15. In normal process, I have received my OPT card and begin to work at the restaurant on July 15. However, because of an important family situation I have to go back to my country for one week between September 15- 22.
Now,my situation is; -I have an OPT card
-I have a job
-I am in my OPT year
BUT: on my OPT card, it says that, I can not leave the country during my OPT year
HOWEVER: I have to go back to my country for one week and there is no problem about taking off from my job.
I can not be sure about leaving the country,my question is: During the OPT period, IF you have a job and all your documents are done about OPT period, are you still should not leave the country? If you leave the USA, how can you come back?

Has anybody had any experience with changing address to PO box on form AR 11 with USCIS or otherwise.
I recently had mail theft and have obtained a PO box but am not sure if we can fill out form AR 11 using PO box address. Mail theft is not uncommon and nobody would like to lose their EADs/FP notices in mail. The form asks for street address.
Also if people utilize AC21 to change jobs (or change locations) it would be simpler to have a PO box to get your mail.
I have put out the question to my lawyer but haven't heard back yet.
Anybody with any experience do post.

It is clearly stated in the I-485 instructions that parents should sign for children below 14 years of age. Those 14 and above should sign for themselves.
Do we need to sign the I-485 docs on behalf of minors? My daughter is 9 years old and she has signed her papers all by herself. When I asked my attorney, one time she said I need to sign and finally she sent the docs with her signature only.

Hi,
I am planning to get my H1B extension Visa stamped in Montreal, Canada. i am in US right now. I have completed the online application. I have paid the fee through my credit card and the status of the transaction is showing as "Pending" in my bank account. I can able to see "MRV Fee Receipt Number". i can also able to see Schedule Appointment First Available: Friday, November 12, 2010 09:30 AM. But I am not able to schedule an appointment. All of the steps I performed on Yesterday. So I have waited for today for any changes and all remains the same.
Please help me.

I dont think this means anything. With the huge influx of AP and EAD applications - I am quite certain that the last thing on USCIS's mind was making sure that the LUD was kept updated for the 485 apps. The important thing is that you have your 485 receipt and that is the acknowledgment that they have recieved the application and its in order.
