Hi,
I just got H1B. My wife is currently on her F-1/OPT. Can anyone guide me where I can find required documents to apply for H4 for my wife? Do you think I can do it myself or it needs a lawyer?

On November 27, the USCIS announced that they had received 58,900 H-1B petitions toward the 65,000 cap. So there are 6,100 numbers remaining, correct? (Update: By December 4, the USCIS had received 61,100 H-1B petitions toward the 65,000 cap.) Not exactly. We have Free Trade Agreements with both Singapore and Chile which set aside 6,800 "H-1B1" numbers for nationals of those countries. Do the math: 65,000 minus 6,800 equals 58,200. :confused: I came in US on 15 Oct 2006. The company A who had filed my H1 was not able to arrange a job for me till 5-Dec-06 & they were not paying me as well. So I contacted company B & they arranged a project for me & I started working for them & I am being paid by company B from 11-Dec-06 & company B started my H1 transfer without paystub. Now in this case my H1 transfer will approve or not.

Hi,

We are going to India on Vacation in Aug 2008. I am on H1B visa and my daughter (3 yrs) is on H4 (My dependent). My wife came to US as my dependent on H4 visa. But now she is on L1B visa.

Q1: Can I add my wife as a co-applicant while booking the appointment online even though she is not my dependant )so that we can all appear for the interview at the same day and time)? I didn't find any guidelines related to this anywhere.

Q2: We are looking for an appointment on Sep first week. Will the slots for Sept available by Aug 1st week? How many days before I can book the appointment?

Well I stand corrected. Last night I reported that Rima Fakih was born in the US to immigrant parents. That's what the one biography I could find that listed her birth place actually said. But a day is a long time in the news cycle and we know a lot more about America's newest sweetheart. She was, in fact, born in Lebanon and immigrated as a child. The charming Rima is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is hoping to attend law school when her reign is over. Perhaps a career as an immigration lawyer?

Hi,

I am trying to change my job from PM to technical lead. My labor was filed for computer systems manager. Will technical lead come under the same category & occupation as computer systems manager?. New employer agreed to give me similar job duties in EVL & I am getting 40% hike. Is it wise to use AC-21 here?.

Canada gives 50% credit for stay in canada using legal visa, prior to obtaining PR towards citizenship.

Thats great in my book if US implements similar. I already accumulated enough stay.:p But I am only being selfish. :rolleyes:

Hi All

Here's my experience. I only have original receipt notice for H1 extension. Local offices in Jersey City and Bayonne wouldn't renew driving license. I went to Trenton. There the supervisor's name is Jewel. She checked their TVR book and that says H1 extension receipt notice is enough for 8 months renewal. She helped me with that and said she would tell their bosses about the local offices.

I just checked that Nebraska is now processing cases from August 2007 for I 140 applications. Do these also indicate China and India?
My pd for I 140 is in July, and I am from india. Should I be able to make a query since the dates have gone past my PD?

if your used to the easy layout of cinema 3d (like me) then stick to it cause its alot easyer to use that 3d studio max then when you get more used to 3d design then you should maybe choose to start using 3d studio max.
but thats only my opinion.
